People living in Amble can have their say on how the village and surrounding area is policed.
Officers and community support officers from the neighbourhood policing team are hosting a police community forum at the Dovecote centre, Dovecote street in Amble on Thursday, July 8, at 6.30pm.
Neighbourhood beat manager for Amble, PC Michael O'Keefe said: "This forum is an opportunity for local people to come and really have a say on how the area is policed - to raise the issues that matter to them most and to speak face to face with us about what they want to see being done in their area.
Northumberland Trading Standards is urging people in the county to fight back against the fraudsters this February by taking part in a major campaign.
The Scamnesty 2010 campaign runs from February 1 to 26 and will involve people dropping mail scams they receive through their letterbox into designated Scamnesty boxes which will be placed across Northumberland.
Online scams can also be reported via the virtual Scamnesty bin at www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/scamnesty.
Warkworth Drama Group is putting on a traditional performance with a bit of a twist this year.
The group is staging its Christmas Pantomime, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, from December 10-12. It is full of the usual pantomime fun but with an unusual twist to the three bears story.

It starts at 7.30pm and 2.30pm for the Saturday matinee. Tickets cost £6 and £4 for children under 13. There is also a 10% discount for ordering eight or more tickets to a performance.
The Northumberland Ladies Netball Summer League is into its fourth round of matches out of five, and there were some high scoring games happening at Cramlington.
In Division One, Concordia A were outclassed 19-11 by Prudhoe A while Division Two saw two games. Croftway A cruised comfortably passed Wansbeck B 32-17, while Amble A lost 20-15 to Hexham A.
Lynemouth are Morpeth Sunday League Division One champions, but runners-up Traveller's Rest, Choppington closed their league campaign with a point as Amble Pier 81 held them to a 3-3 draw. Chris Glass, Darren Riddell and Josh Hay netted for Pier 81, with Mark Miller, David John Kilpatrick and Stephen Young scoring for the Lewin Cup holders.
Red Row Brick Club bounced back from their defeat in the Lewin Cup final last week to beat Stobhill Social Club 4-1. Ronnie Warwick bagged a hat-trick and Stuart Dunn also scored. Ashley McAlpine replied for Stobhill.
The final reckoning for the Morpeth Sunday League Division Two table will have to wait until next week after Blackthorn Rovers v East Chevington was postponed until next Sunday.
In Division One of the Morpeth Sunday League, Lynemouth have all but sewn up the league title with an unbelievable 19-0 hammering of Ashington Booze Brothers.
Marc Richardson (6), Andy Spratt (4), Antony Wade (3), John Ramm (2), Andrew Johnson (2), David Brown and Gareth Rees were all on target. Traveller's Rest Choppington can still draw level on points with their last game of the season next week, but Lynemouth have a goal difference which is twenty four more than their rivals.
Pegswood Ex-Services finished off their season with three points after a Lee McAndrew strike earned them a 1-0 win over Amble Pier 81. Linton and Woodhorn Social Club also rounded off their campaign with a win with a 3-2 success at Stobhill Social Club. Michael Scott and Ashley McAlpine scored for Stobhill, but a brace from Michael Freathy and a Richard Morris goal won it for the visitors.
The end of the season is coming down to the wire as both the teams vying for the title in Morpeth Sunday League Division One now have just one game remaining.
Lynemouth have put themselves in pole position following an emphatic 8-0 win over North Seaton Elephant. The win puts them ahead on goal difference, with a five goal advantage over Traveller's Rest, Choppington.
Marc Richardson (2), Andrew Spratt (2), Adam Kent (2), Andrew Johnson and David Brown all got on the scoresheet to take Lynemouth back to the summit.
Lifeboats sped out in poor visibility to rescue a smoke-logged fishing boat which they suspected had caught fire.
Both Amble lifeboats responded to the early morning Mayday call and saw smoke billowing into the air from the stricken craft.

The Coastguard alerted all weather Mersey class The Four Boys and the D class fast response boat Rosemary Palmer at 6.10am after Amble fishing boat True Vine got into difficulties. They found it 2.5 miles north of Coquet Island, with the smoke coming from the engine compartment.
Lynemouth handed out a footballing lesson to Morpeth Sunday League opponents Bedlington Northumberland Arms by blasting in nine without reply.
Andrew Spratt scored four in the Division One encounter, Gary Brotherton got two, and further goals came from Andrew Johnson, Daniel Taylor and Iain Nickalls.
In a lower-scoring game, Pegswood Ex-Services and Red Row Brick Club had to settle for a point apiece with a 1-1 draw. Josh Gilmartin scored for Pegswood, with Ian Common on target for Red Row.
Amble United, currently locked in a battle for the Northern Alliance Second Division title, failed to complete a possible league and cup double after losing their cup final 3-2.
In their Amateur Cup Final against Forest Hall at Hillheads the Seasiders were narrowly beaten, but had to survive with only ten men for most of the game.
Yet despite having a player sent off late in the first half for a handling offence on the line Amble still gave their opponents a hard time in an entertaining final.
