Drama enthusiasts in Acklington are looking forward to a stage show which has been secured thanks to a subsidy scheme aimed at taking quality theatre "out into the sticks".

The Northumberland Theatre Company will perform its touring production of Whisky Galore at Acklington Community Hall later this month - bringing a real treat to a community which doesn't often get the chance to see top-notch theatre on its doorstep.
